Yes we pre-vacuum your carpets

This is an extreme example but it's an actual photo from one of my resent cleaning jobs. One of the best things you can do for your carpets is to regularly vacuum. Dirty carpets will wear out much more quickly because the dirt grinds the fibers as you walk on them. Pre-vacuuming your carpets is just one of the value added services that come with each job we do.

Pet Urine Treatment

Here's the “skinny” on pet urine spots.

This is nasty business and the success in working with these spots depends on a number of things, such as the amount of urine and how long the urine has been there. If you're seeing a urine spot the size of a cup on the surface of your carpet, then there will be a puddle the size of a plate settled in your padding and on your sub-floor. Often there will be urine in the base board and dry walls if your pet has been using this area for some time. If your sub-floor is porous concrete then urine could be trapped there as well. The best possible solution would be to pull the carpeting and padding up and seal the sub-floor and walls. I understand that is not always going to be a practical solution. Let me tell you what we can do, remembering that we are working from the topside of a bottom side problem.

Flushing out Pet Urine Spots

We can pour a chemical and water mix that is designed to help take care of odor and stain into the carpet at the urine spots. This mix will also spread out into the padding and sub-floor, simular to the way the urine has spread. We also add enzymes into this mix to help eat the bacteria in the urine. After the chemicals have been poured into the urine puddles we'll give it some dwell time to dissolve the dried urine salts that have been left behind. Now we're going to use the vacuum power of our truck mounted unit to pull the dissolved urine out of the padding and carpet using a tool that is designed to focus the vacuum into a small concentrated area. Once that is done we then pour fresh water into the area and flush out the residue of the urine and chemical mix. This is a time consuming process and we'll base the cost on how many gallons of chemical mix and water we have to flush through your carpet and padding. After the pet treatment we will clean the rest of the room and carpet as we normally would.

If you have other questions about this process give me a call at 678.431.0388.

I'd like a free quote ...

We'll be happy to run out and give you a quote on the work you want done. Give us a call. We'll give you a written quote and there won't be any surprise extra charges. The quote you recieve will be the bottom line. We charge by the square foot and give you a lot of the small spaces at no charge. Spaces like closets, nooks and the like.

Compute the square footage (length x width) of the rooms you'd like to have cleaned times .25 cent per square foot. The charge for a set of average (14 to 16) carpeted steps is $35.

We can treat pet problem spots by pouring cleaning chemicals and enzymes into the spots desolving the urine and flushing them out with clean water. You'd want me to come out and give you a quote if you have many of these spots because I would not be able to give you an idea of what that would cost until I see the area to be treated.

We can also apply Scotchgard to your freshly cleaned carpets.

We use a truck mounted steam or hotwater extraction method with a two person crew. We also use pre-vacuuming, pre-sprays, machine scrubbing, corner guards, fans, walk off mats, a ph balancing rinse and hand brush grooming to leave your carpets looking their best.

Yes, we clean area rugs.

When we clean your area rugs we clean both sides of the rug, top and bottom. Then we apply Scotchgard and groom the rug and allow it to dry.

If it is possible, I would like to clean your area rugs at your home. We'll take your rugs outside and clean them on your concrete drive with plastic under them. I'll leave them with you and once they are dry you put them back in your home. This is the least  expensive way for me to clean your rugs.

If it is not possible to clean your rugs at your home, we can pick them up, clean and dry them at our shop. This requires a pick-up and delivery charge.

If your rug has been soaked in pet urine it will need to be placed in a "rug bath". This is a shallow bath in which the rugs are placed and allows us to soak and rinse the rug. This is our most aggressive method to deal with the urine in the rugs and most modern manufatured rugs can tolarate a rug bath. If your rug is not color-fast or has a linen backing then I would not consider it a canidate for this method of cleaning. A urine soaked rug is going to be pretty smelly and you're not going to want to keep the rug in your home. The question to ask is: "Do I risk the rug and the expense of cleaning it or do I replace it?"
